Terms of Service

1.Agreement

These terms are between you and the operator of Stashalog (“we”, “us”), and they cover your use of stashalog.com and the Stashalog app. Using the service means you accept them. If you don’t, don’t use it.

2.Who can use it

You need to be at least 13, or the minimum age of digital consent where you live if that is higher. Paxton’s Yard contains simulated gambling and is intended for adults; if you are under 18, don’t use it. If you are using the service on behalf of somebody else, you need their authority to accept these terms for them.

3.Your account

You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got into it.

You can use Paxton’s Yard without an account. If you do, your chips last for that session only and are gone when you leave. They are never carried into an account you create or sign in to afterwards.

4.Chips are not money

Paxton’s Yard is played with virtual chips. This is the important part, so it is stated plainly:

• Chips have no cash value and never will.
• Chips cannot be bought, sold, traded, transferred, withdrawn, redeemed, or exchanged for money or for anything of value, inside the service or outside it.
• No real-money gambling takes place here, nothing you do in Paxton’s Yard can win or lose you money, and no prizes are awarded.
• Chips, achievements and game history are a feature of the service, not property. They may be adjusted, reset or removed, for example to correct a fault or to rebalance a game, and they disappear if your account is deleted.

Practising with virtual chips does not make anybody good at gambling for money, and nothing in Paxton’s Yard should be read as encouragement to do it.

5.What you put in

Your collection is yours. You keep every right you had in it, and we claim no ownership. You give us only the permission needed to run the service for you: to store your entries and show them back to you on your own screens. That permission ends when you delete the content or the account.

You are responsible for what you enter, and for having the right to enter it. There are limits on how much one account can hold; they exist to keep the service affordable to run, and they may change.

6.Fair use

Please don’t:

• try to reach another account’s data, or probe the service for a way to;
• automate, script, or otherwise manipulate the games, particularly to manufacture chips, achievements or results;
• scrape or bulk-download the service, or hammer it with traffic that degrades it for anyone else;
• upload anything unlawful, or anything you don’t have the right to upload;
• resell or rebrand the service as your own.

7.Availability and changes

Stashalog is a small, actively developed project. Features arrive, change and occasionally leave; the service can be interrupted for maintenance or for reasons outside our control, and it may be discontinued. If it is ever shut down for good, we will give reasonable notice and time to get your data out.

These terms may change. If a change is material, the date at the top will change and continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new version.

8.Ending it

You can stop at any time, and you can delete your account and everything in it from your account page. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and there are no backups to restore from, so export or copy anything you want to keep before you do it.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we are required to. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will say why first.

9.No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data can always be recovered. Keep your own copy of anything you would be sorry to lose.

10.Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost data, lost profits or lost collections. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you have paid for the service in the previous twelve months, or twenty US dollars. Some jurisdictions don’t allow these exclusions, in which case they apply to you only as far as the law permits.

11.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer elsewhere, this does not take away rights your local law gives you.
